Read real green card applications before you file yours

The library has complete marriage green card and I-751 filings that people sent to USCIS, with their personal details blacked out. Each one includes the dates from the applicant's USCIS account, so you can see how long their case took.

We check every file for missed personal information before it's published.

Two kinds of applications

If USCIS sent a request for evidence, the RFE and the response are included with the application they belong to.

Marriage green card

For spouses of U.S. citizens applying from inside the U.S. The I-130 and I-485 are filed together, usually with a work permit and travel document application.

Removal of conditions

Filed in the 90 days before a 2-year conditional green card expires, to get the 10-year card. Most of the evidence is about the marriage since the first application.

Keeping personal details out

Names, A-numbers, Social Security numbers, birth dates, and street addresses are blacked out. City and state stay, since they help people compare processing times.

  • Redact your files

Our sister site, redactpdf.ai, finds personal details in your PDFs and blacks them out. You can review each change before you download the redacted copy.

  • We check them again

After you upload, we read through every page. If anything still needs to be redacted, we'll black it out for you before it goes live.

  • It's published

Once we've checked it, it goes live in the library. Sharing it gives us permission to publish it, and you can remove it at any time.

Add your application to the library

Everything here was shared by someone who had already filed. Sharing yours passes that along, so the next person can prepare with more information than you had. You can share it as soon as it's filed, and adding your case history shows how long each step took.
